The Dream Team

So you’ve rediscovered your love for fantasy, you’re knee-deep in morally questionable love interests, and all you really want is to scream about plot twists and dragon-sized sexual tension with people who get it?
Welcome home, babe. You’ve found your gang.
Fantasy Bookclub Scotland is co-hosted (chaotically and gloriously, thank you very much) by Amy and Becca, two bisexual, neurodiverse gremlins with a deep-rooted love for romantasy, emotional devastation, and an unhinged group chat.
After a decade long friendship which was forged in the fiery realms of a martial arts class, these two ladies got together and thought, 'WHY ARE THERE NO BOOKCLUBS JUST FOR SMUT?'
✨So they made one✨
What started with six pals in a Glasgow pub and a bottle (ok, two) of fizz has exploded into over 120 members across Scotland, monthly meetups, three books a month, guest hosts, group chats, merch, and so much fantasy nonsense we had to start giving it structure (barely).
And now? You’re one of us.
Come meet your fellow book babes, scream about shadow daddies, and join the Council of Chaos.

BECCA SMYTH
What can we say about Becca that she hasn't already said about herself (classic over sharer)
Florist, Black Belt, Sword Collector and occasional Project Manager, Becca spins a lot of plates. But her favourite by far is bookclub.
A fan of anything Dragon, Fae, Vampire or Witch realted, Becca is happiest reading spicy fantasy, on the sofa with her pup and drinking copious amouts of herbal tea
AMY WATSON-KEAST
A chaos-wrangling, full-time mum and communications consultant by day and full-time nerd and bookclub babe by night.
There’s literally no genre she won’t devour. She’s got strong opinions, fast reading skills, and a deep love for fictional drama.
She’s not big on herbal tea, but she lives for THE TEA. So spill your wildest theories, most unhinged opinions, and hottest takes. She’s probably already thought of them. Twice.

JOIN THE COUNCIL OF CHAOS?
So you wanna join the Council of Chaos™? We love that for you. This is your moment to shine, book gremlin. Read and fill out the bits below and tell us why you were born to lead the Romantasy Rebellion.
So… What is an FBS Ambassador?
Glad you asked. Our ambassadors help us keep the group chat from imploding, planning fun events, feedback back your creative ideas, and spreading the romantasy gospel far and wide. Whether you’re a behind the scenes spreadsheet babe or a front and centre hype queen, there’s a space for your magic. We're looking for people who love FBS, love books and want to help us grow this beautiful little cult (jk… unless??).
But what will I do?
-
Helping manage sub-groups chats - maybe on a particular topic, maybe for a specific region (we see you Aberdeen girlies).
-
Supporting local meet-ups and hangouts (Pub? Park? Picnic? The sky is the limit for our social committee).
-
Be our sounding board for new ideas.
-
Helping us short-list ideas, suggest themes or organise the calendar.
-
Creating content, sharing posts, or submitting newsletter bits.
-
Keeping the community safe, friendly and full of good vibes. No cliques here!
-
Championing small biz pals, new authors, and local legends.
-
Attend monthly online meetings to report and feed back.
What’s in it for me, besides eternal glory?
We might not be able to pay you in gold coins (yet) but here’s what you can expect as an official member of the Council of Chaos™:
-
Early access to events and merch. You’ll be the first to know and snag tickets before they sell out. You might even get the chance to help shape the events themselves.
-
Exclusive goodies: Think special discounts, the odd cheeky gift, and Council of Chaos-only perks. Yes, we love to bribe our inner circle.
-
A say in the future of FBS. From helping to pick our books, to suggesting wild new event ideas, you’ll have a seat at the round, smut-filled, tear-stained table.
-
Experience for your CV (and your soul). If you’re into event planning, content creation, marketing, community building or just want to flex your leadership muscles in a fun space, this is your time to shine.
New pals and wholesome chaos. At the end of the day, it’s about community. You’ll be part of a tight-knit team who gets you, hypes you and will happily cry over fictional deaths with you
